Soriasis

Psoriasis (from the Greek "psora" - "skin disease, crust") is a chronic non -infectious disease. Licen scales (so they also call psoriasis) mainly affect the areas of the skin in the elbow and knee joints, in the head and in the lower back. But there is also nail psoriasis, joints and external genitals, but these forms are extremely rare.

The causes of psoriasis

Soriasis

This disease is due to a brief life cycle. The fact is that in a healthy person, skin cells are updated every 30 days, that is, the cycle of their division and maturation occurs in approximately 4 weeks. Psoriasis is, it could be said, an abnormal reaction of the body to various types of external stimuli, as a result of which in some places the upper layer of the skin dies in just 4-5 days, leaving behind the keratinized areas.

To date, psoriasis is considered a multifaceted disease, that is, the disease is based on a complete set of reasons: immunological changes, metabolic disorders, various neurological and endocrine disorders concomitant.

The exact reasons why a person has psoriasis is finally not established. There are several theories in this regard. According to one of them, two types of psoriasis are distinguished:

  • The cause of type I is inherited by the breakdown of the immune system. This form of the disease, which affects the skin, is fed up with approximately 65% of people, and most of the time from 18 to 25 years;
  • II The type of psoriasis appears in people over 40, is not inherited and is not associated with violations in immune system cells. Unlike the first type, the second includes nail psoriasis and joints.

According to another theory, psoriasis occurs only due to deteriorated immunity, whose causes can be infectious diseases, stress, alcoholic beverages, malnutrition, cold climate. The clamps, pepper and foods that contain vinegar can cause exacerbation and worsen psoriasis. Psoriasis, according to this theory, is a systemic disease. And this means that with immune systems with severe disabilities, the process can spread from the skin to other tissues and organs, for example, to the joints, as a result of which psoriatic arthritis develops.

Psoriasis symptoms

The symptoms of the psoriasis of the scalp, the knees, the elbow joints and the lower part of the back are inflamed peppers of red or pink. They are covered with silver scales (hence the name "Licen Scaly"), which when they combine easily disappears. Over time, the spots increase in size, they merger in large formations (plates) and affect more areas and large cracks and bleeding from the damaged skin.

Nail psoriasis manifests in a slightly different way. First, nail plates are darkened, spots and points recesses appear in them. Very often with psoriasis, the nails are thickened and crumble.

The symptom of psoriasis in the form of eruptions is accompanied by severe itching, especially in papules, but applies to nearby areas.

Depending on the seasonality of exacerbation, three types of psoriasis are distinguished: summer, winter and uncertain. Most of the time, there is a type of winter: its symptoms under the influence of sunlight are weakened and sometimes they disappear completely. In patients with a summer form, on the contrary, the course of the disease worsens under the influence of the sun.

Psoriasis treatment

The treatment of psoriasis, depending on its kind, is carried out by several medications and methods. In any case, therapy must be complex.

Psoriasis medications treatment in progressive stage generally includes:

  • Antihistamines;
  • Hipensic medications;

For external use, ICTIOL is prescribed, sulfuric ointment with TAR, as well as Naphtalan with the addition of corticosteroids.

Very often, the psoriasis of the scalp and the skin of other parts of the body is treated with a laser. Lazer rays activate living fabric molecules, providing photochemical, photochemical and other positive effects.

Psoriasis treatment

For the treatment of severe psoriasis forms, chemotherapy photo is used, which implies the effect on the skin of long wave UV rays and the use of special medications. Thanks to photochemotherapy, you can get rid of approximately 80% of the plates and with regular use, around 95%.
